Beginnings

Selman Offices Established as a Texas Corporation in early 1983, Selman and Associates, Ltd. began providing geological consulting and surface logging services for various counties in West Texas, Southeastern New Mexico, and the rest of the Permian Basin. Since then, we have opened branch offices in the Rocky Mountains and South Texas areas.

Having started with one unit, we now operate more than 38 fully-equipped computerized surface logging units. These mobile field laboratories are outfitted with Selman's SLIC-7™ systems (the latest in gas detection technology), AcquireIt™ (the latest in computerized digital logging data acquisition), LogIt™ (the latest in computerized digal logging data analysis), and dedicated satellite internet access. These wholly owned and operated surface logging units are on call 24 hours a day for the convenience of our clients.

Owners

Tom and Juanita Selman Juanita C. Selman, Owner, holds a BA degree in business and has been active in wellsite geological consulting and surface logging since 1983. Juanita personally oversees sales, accounting, contracts, and personnel.

Tom H. Selman, Owner, holds a BS degree in geology and has been active in wellsite geological consulting and surface logging since 1980. Tom oversees equipment rigging, maintenance, personnel, and is readily available to guarantee a smooth working relationship from both the office and the field.
